  • What is the Georgia Lottery Coin Operated Amusement Machines (COAM) program?

    COAM is a Coin-Operated Amusement Machine. Most Class B COAM machines in Georgia are redemption devices that also have skill games that allow a successful player to transfer points earned in one play to one or more subsequent plays.

  • Who Regulates COAM?

    As of April 10, 2013, the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) regulates the industry.
  • What do I need to obtain the COAM license?

    • Sales Tax ID with the state of Georgia.
    • The establishment owner must have legal status in the United States.
    • Be up to date on business and personal sales taxes in the state of Georgia.
    • Pass a background check.
    • Pay $125 per machine to obtain the license. This cost is once a year.

  • Do I need a license to operate COAM in Georgia?

    Yes. Any location that allows COAM game machines to be placed and made available for public play must have a valid COAM location license issued by the GLC.

  • How is the revenue from the COAM program distributed?

    The revenue from the games is divided such that your business and Century Amusement each receive 43.5%, while the Georgia Lottery gets 13%.

  • Who takes care of the maintenance and installation of the machines?

    Century Amusement takes care of all the maintenance, including installation of the machines.
  • What costs are associated with the COAM for you?

    The only cost to your business is a $125 annual license fee per machine.

  • What kind of games does Century Amusement offer?

    We offer a variety of Georgia Lottery approved skill-based games that cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels. Our games are designed to be fun, engaging, and fair.

  • How does Century Amusement support Hispanic small businesses?

    Century Amusement is committed to empowering and uplifting Hispanic small businesses in Georgia. We provide our services in three languages (English, Spanish, Vietnamese) to ensure accessibility for all Hispanic small business owners.
